What happened to Ghosts 2

Dont hate me , but am a huge ghosts fan , i like every cod there is and mostly mw2 and ghosts , but after such an ending in Ghosts , simply leaving a huge cliffhanger like that and going to a different game is just nuts , i want to know will there be any future for ghosts or not

please help.

I'm not a big fan of ghosts games personally, only if it's a scary one lol
